James Blunt's 'happy' album

James Blunt has revealed that his upcoming album 'Some Kind of Trouble' has an "optimistic" feel about it, as he grew tired of writing songs about self pity.

The 'You're Beautiful' singer-songwriter said he tried to write piano-based songs for his third studio LP but found he was just repeating himself.  After a break he returned with a more positive outlook which can be heard in the album.

Blunt, who has sold around 16 million records, said: "One thing I did learn is that your artistic credibility goes out the window when you have a record that big. 'You're Beautiful' meant something to me, but to most people, it's a song they sing when they're drunk."

The singer's new album  'Some Kind of Trouble' is set to be released on November 8.
