West’s album cover banned in US

Rapper Kanye West has claimed that the cover art for his new album, ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’, has been banned in the US.

The cover, a painting depicting a naked and tailed woman straddling a nude man, appears to have been banned by retail outlet Wal-Mart.

In a recent Twitter post, the ‘Through The Wire’ star wrote about his surprise at the decision. 'In the 70s, album covers had actual nudity. It’s so funny that people forget that,' he wrote.

However, West added that the decision made little difference to him or his music. He added: 'I really don’t be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers. I wanna sell albums, but not at the expense of my true creativity.'

Wal-Mart has yet to comment on West’s remarks.
