Willow Smith, the nine-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, has released the video to her viral hit, 'Whip My Hair' in the U.S.

Smith appeared on Ryan Seacrest's KISS FM breakfast show to explain the meaning behind the song: "It means just be an individual. Like, you can't be afraid of yourself. You have to be yourself and you can't let anyone tell you that it's wrong."

The video was shot in Los Angeles and is directed by Ray Kay. The single is from her upcoming album which is scheduled for release by Jay-Z's label.

'Whip My Hair' is available for digital download next Monday (October 25).
