Following a considerable hiatus from music, Jamiroquai took to 'The X Factor' stage last night (October 31) to perform the brand new single, ‘White Knuckle Ride’.

The reception, however, was noticeably icy with no standing ovation from the crowd and very little reaction from judge Cheryl Cole. This comes after an interview in The Sun, in which Jamiroquai spoke rather candidly about his feelings on the musical talent show.

His foul-mouthed rant was aimed at both Cole and the other female judge on the panel, Dannii Minogue, by saying:

"What the f***. When have you ever done anything? You’re useless. The pair of you. I mean you look great and I’d like to f****** s*** you but that’s all."

Jamiroquai thoughts on the show itself illustrate exactly why he has been one of the UK’s hottest trending topics on Twitter this morning:

"I just don’t like the w***y stuff I have to do. F****** X Factor and that. I’m going to have to sing in front of f****** amateurs. Do you know what I mean?"
