Tributes start pouring in for Beatles producer Sir George Martin

Tributes are beginning to pour in today as the news circulates about the passing of the legendary Beatles producer, Sir George Martin.

Leading them was a tweet from Beatles member Ringo Starr, saying: "God bless George Martin peace and love to Judy and his family love Ringo and Barbara George will be missed xxx".

It was later followed by fellow Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney, who tweeted: "The world has lost a truly great man..." 

A whole host of other tweets are starting to flood Twitter, including the following:

Gary Barlow said to BBC Radio 2 this morning: "Bless him. He still had a passion and was interested in music even when I met him at the age of 65." Adding, "He was a complete legend to us all and we'll all miss him."
