Time Warp cancelled after five die and others remain critically ill

Time Warp festival, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was forced to be called off after the death of at least five people.

The remainder of a music festival has been cancelled after five people died from a suspected overdose and many more remain critically ill.

The second night of the two-day event was scrapped after a suspected drugs overdose killed two people at the event, with a further three dying in ambulances or at hospital.

A further five people are in a critical condition in hospital, with some actually in comas.

Time Warp started in Germany in 1994 and was being held in the Latin American county for the third time.

Previous Time Warp festival performers include Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Sven Väth, Laurent Garnier and Paul van Dyk.

This year's DJ line-up included Chris Liebing, Barem and Deep Mariano.
