Michael Jackson's 'Thriller Villa' hits the sales market with $9.5m price tag

Michael Jackson's former Las Vegas home has just been put onto the sales market at $9.5m (£6.5m) by real estate agent, Kristen Routh Silberman Reality.

Jackson rented the compound from 2007 until he died in 2009.

The 'Thriller Villa' sits on 1.7 acres of land but was originally built in Mexico and brought to the Nevada desert by Horst Schmidt in the '50's.

The house itself is a massive 24,276 square foot. The guest house is 2,983 square foot. There is also a medieval chapel. The basement is 8500 square foot.

This was the house that Jackson was in when he refused to see his concerned family.

The master bedroom occupies an entire floor and includes a wet bar and giant mirrors. 

Although Jackson was renting this property out. At the time of his death, he was in his other home in North Carolwood Drive in the Holmby Hills. He died on Jun 25 2009 from anacute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication.
