"According to You" Artist, Orianthi, Dishes on Beauty Routine

Tone® Body Wash and rockstar, Orianthi, provide tips for on-the-go beauty

NEW YORK, NY (November 29, 2010) — Between touring with Adam Lambert and launching her new single “Courage,” female rocker, Orianthi, has had a busy year! Her on-the-go schedule has her bouncing from one tour stop to the next – leaving little time for a lengthy beauty routine. Adjusting to a low maintenance regimen, she has several tips on how to achieve a trendy look without tons of time in front of the mirror.

“For the most part I have a fairly low maintenance beauty routine,” said Orianthi. “My look changes depending on my mood but with my hectic schedule I’ve found that multitasking products are a must. For example, I’m loving Tone® Body Washes – they moisturize while leaving my skin smelling great – no perfume needed!”

Orianthi shares her on-the-go beauty tips:

  1. When it comes to keeping my skin healthy, my first rule is to make sure I take my make-up off every night. For me it’s the best way to avoid breakouts – or at least try! When I do get them, I use tea tree oil as an astringent to clear them up quickly before my next gig.
  2. I’m also crazy about clay face masks – the detoxing benefits in clay are the perfect way to treat my skin. To bring the benefits of clay from my face to the rest of my body, I use Tone Daily Detox Body Wash – its exfoliating white clay from France makes my skin smooth and silky.
  3. Another one of my favorite time-saving tools is bronzer. Traveling the country leaves little time to get sun-kissed. A few swipes of bronzer on my T-zone and the apples of the cheeks is an easy way to give skin a healthy glow.
  4. The one thing I can’t live without is lip gloss! I carry it everywhere and even in a t-shirt and jeans it’s the one thing that makes me feel girly. I prefer glosses that have tons of sparkle and shine because they stand out on stage – MAC are some of my faves.
  5. When it comes to my hair, I focus on keeping it healthy by not over-washing. One way to do this is to treat it with a leave-in conditioner spray, making it soft and smooth without the extra time in the shower. I also let my hair air dry at times and tousle it by scrunching the ends.
