Aidan Turner hints that Poldark character may be killed off

Aidan Turner let the cat out of the bag today when he opened up about how difficult it is to film scenes for Poldark that are not in sequence. Appearing with Eleanor Tominson, he told BBC Radio 1's Breakfast Show that:

'You're dying tomorrow and on Wednesday you're getting married. It's a bit odd but kind of you get used to it.'

When show host, Nick Grimshaw, then read out a tweet from a fan worried that Poldark would be killed off, Turner said:

"Oh, right OK... I do remember I said that. Take that all back. I don't - to the best of my knowledge - die. I think I'm doing this for a few more years."

Series 2 of Poldark will return to BBC One this Sunday September 4. The first series had 9.4 million viewers.
