On the eve of tonight's (June 4) One Love Manchester concert with US pop star, Ariana Grande, London suffers a third terrorist attack in the last three months.

Police officers were called last night (June 3) about a van colliding with pedestrians on London Bridge at 10pm, as well as responding to reports of stabbings at a bar in nearby Borough Market.

Police said armed officers shot dead all three attackers within minutes of receiving reports of the terrorist attacks unfolding in central London. The three men appeared to be wearing suicide bomb vests that were later confirmed to be fakes.

Cressida Dick, the Metropolitan police commissioner, said this morning that the incident was under control: “We believe there were three attackers and we believe they are dead."

She was asked: “Do you know the identity of the attackers” and replied: “I don’t”.

Seven people have since lost their lives, and around fifty have been left injured and in hospital.

The Mayor of London issued the following statement this morning: "We are all shocked and angry today - but this is our city. We will never let these cowards win and we will never be cowed by terrorism."
