Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington found dead, aged 41

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has been found dead in his home, aged 41.

A Los Angeles County coroner confirmed the musician’s death to the Associated Press, who broke the news earlier this evening on Twitter at 7:42pm.

According to TMZ, Bennington committed suicide at his Palos Verdes residence after reportedly struggling with drug and alcohol addiction throughout his entire life. He has left behind six children and a wife named Talinda Ann Bentley.

Linkin Park made their break through in the year 2000 with their debut album "Hybrid Theory". They released their latest album "One More Light" earlier this year.

The band had just kicked off their One More Light world tour, and were due to perform at the Xfinity Center next week on July 27 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
