Talinda Bennington speaks out about tragic death of Chester

Talinda Bennington, widow of the late Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, has broken her silence for the first time about her husband committing suicide last week.

The couple tied the knot in 2006 and were married for twelve years. They had three children together.

She has released a statement to Rolling Stone that reads:

"How do I move on? How do I pick up my shattered soul? The only answer I know is to raise our babies with every ounce of love I have left. I want to let my community and the fans worldwide know that we feel your love. We feel your loss as well. My babies are so young to have lost their daddy. And I know that all of you will help keep his memory alive.

"He was a bright, loving soul with an angel's voice. And now he is pain-free singing his songs in all of our hearts. May God bless us all and help us turn to one another when we are in pain. Chester would've wanted us to do so.

Her touching statement concludes: "Rest In Peace, my love”.

Since the 41-year-old's tragic death, fans worldwide have paid tribute by purchasing Linkin Park's back catalogue of music, which has resulted in a huge Billboard Chart rise for four of their most famous albums.

Bennington had been vocal about his continual battle with depression which in the end stole his life. His body was found by the family's housekeeper, hanging in his bedroom inside his home in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. A call to 911 followed shortly after. TMZ have published the call, which some users may find disturbing.
