Adam Lambert's end of tour highlight: 'I've got my dog back'

Adam Lambert suited up for the red carpet recently for the Out Power 50 Gala and spoke about 'taking a breath' after finishing his North American tour with Queen, he said:

"I just got off my North American tour with Queen. That was literally three days ago, so now I'm taking a breath for at least a few days.

"I got my dog from my dad's house in San Diego, so that's been the highlight of the week.

"I have new music in the works being mixed and finalised and conceptualised. I'm still trying to work out when and how I'm going to drop it.  I'm excited about these songs, really excited.

"Two Fux is out right now. It came out a couple of months ago at the beginning of this tour as kind of a way to celebrate being on tour with Queen. It was inspired a lot by Freddie Mercury, his spirit and his rock star attitude.

"I recorded it for my project which is on the horizon here but I decided, you know what, I'm going to put it out early ahead of this tour with Queen, and people are loving it. I was really excited to perform it with Queen on tour."

The vocal sensation first performed with Queen at the MTV EMA Awards in Belfast in November 2011.

Adam Lambert also recently confessed to ET Canada that he was absolutely terrified to be stepping into Freddie's shoes during the first Queen shows he peformed. He said:

"I thought, ‘There’s no way I should be doing this. I had the confidence of the band and they were really lovely about it. They were like, ‘No, no, no, you’re great. We love it. Do what you want.’ But in my head I kept going, ‘No, I don’t know'.”

Queen's tour with Adam Lambert finished in America on August 5. The tour starts its European leg on November 1 in Prague. The European leg continues until December 16. The final section of the tour takes in New Zealand and Australia, and starts on February 17, ending on March 6.
