Right Said Fred flattered by Taylor Swift songwriting credit

Right Said Fred, the band behind the '91 novelty hit 'I'm Too Sexy', have revealed that they were sworn to secrecy by Taylor Swift's representatives when they were approached earlier this year for a song sample.

The 'interpolation of a melody' from 'I'm Too Sexy' features in Swift's latest record, 'Look What You Made Me Do.'

Lead singer, Richard Fairbrass said:

"It’s very flattering. They approached us a while ago and obviously we were sworn to secrecy.

'Look What You Made Me Do' features songwriting credits to Richard and his brother Fred Fairbrass together with third bandmate Rob Manzolli alongside Swift's name.

“The first time I heard it was when everybody else heard it, this morning. I understand why they did that — in this day and age tracks being leaked is a real problem.”
