Dolly Parton is the next big-name star set to appear on CBeebies' Bedtime Story segment.

The legendary country music singer will read Louise Yates’ ‘Dog Loves Books’ on October 25. It tells the tale of a dog so passionate about reading that he decides to open his own bookstore.  

Parton has been a major supporter of educating children with books, so much that she founded her own ‘Imagination Library’. 

The superstar released a statement through the BBC recently, saying:

“Encouraging children to develop a love of books from an early age is very important to me. I hope my songs and stories inspire the CBeebies audience. Thank you for having me!”
