Marilyn Manson parts with bassist Twiggy Ramirez after rape allegations

Marilyn Manson has parted ways with bassist Twiggy Ramirez after the musician was accused of rape and sexual assault by his former partner, Jessicka Addams.

Addams was the singer of Riot Grrrl band Jack Off Jill and dated Ramirez (real name Jeordie White) in the '90s. Addams described their relationship as abusive and stated that he had raped her.

After his announcement last week, Manson has now confirmed that Ramirez will no longer be a band member He tweeted:

“I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson. He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well.”

Harvey Weinstein has recenly been dismissed from his own company after allegations have been made against him by actresses spanning decades of abuse.

Marilyn Manson's founding guitarist Daisy Berkowitz died aged 49 on October 22, following a four-year battle with colon cancer. Manson wrote on Instagram:

“We had our differences over the years, but I will always remember the good times more. Everyone should listen to ‘Man That You Fear’ in his honour. That was our favourite.”

Earlier this month Marilyn Manson had been forced to cancel 9 concerts after he was hospitalised on September 30 when a stage prop he was trying to climb, fell on him.
