Katy Perry, Lorde, Rita Ora, Ed Sheeran, Patti Smith, Depeche Mode and Sia donate shoes for charity

Over 80 pairs of shoes autographed and owned by celebrities are being auctioned off online to raise money for a UK-based charity called the Small Steps Project.

The long list of those who have donated signed shoes include Ed Sheeran, Lorde, Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, Chris Martin, The ChainsmokersPatti Smith, Benedict CumberbatchSia, Depeche Mode, Wolf Alice, Grimes, Iggy Azalea, Florence Welch, Olly Murs, Emeli Sandé, Roger FedererGeorge Ezra, Melanie C, Craig David,The National, Jeremy Corbin, Diplo, Tiesto, Ricky Gervais, Dame Judi Dench, Idris Elba, Michael Cain, Kate Moss, Poppy Delevigne, Sienna Miller, Vivienne Westwood, Moby, Carole King, Ozzy Osbourne, Lewis Hamilton, Natalie Portman, Elsie, and Gillian Anderson

Small Steps Project supports children who live on the world's landfill sites and survive from scavenging amongst the rubbish. It aims to offer them proper schooling so that they have a chance of a future.

The celebrity-owned shoes with the highest bids so far, at time of writing, belong to Depeche Mode's David Gahan (£2,264), Depeche Mode's Martin Gore (£1341, Sia (£1132) and Emma Watson (£1019).

Each pair comes with a description of shoe size, brand, brief background of when they were worn or donated or both. The auction runs until November 21.

So, if you want to walk in the footsteps of a celebrity, own Hunter Welly's from Blur's Alex James or just want to pick up a pair of Jimmy Choo's, this is the ideal opportunity and it's all for an amazing cause.
