Former pop band member, Paul Cattermole, has sold a BRIT Award he received for 'Best Newcomer' when he was in S Club 7 on eBay.

The winning bid is £66,100.

Speaking to the BBC whilst bidding was active, the 40-year-old said: “I don't want the other members to think that I am dissing the band by selling it but there are bills to pay.

"It’s time to let the past be the past. S Club 7 was one of the best things I’ve ever been involved in, I really miss those guys.”

In 2015 the winning bid for a BRIT Award owned by Abz from 5ive was £1,100,300. The farmer had placed the award onto the bidding site in order to raise funds for new gardening equipment and top soil.
