Canada's "Girl Wonder" Alyssa Rubino Dances Into Billboard's Top 10 with Single from Debut Album Every Girl's World

LOS ANGELES, March 24, 2011 -- The Billboard music chart is the industry's bible, and Alyssa Rubino ranks amongst other top-billing musical deities. When her debut single "Keep On Dancing" was released internationally last month, she immediately broke barriers in Europe, and earned #6 on the Billboard Dance/Club charts in the U.S. That ranked Alyssa above the widely adored Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue and Katy Perry for that period. Her native Canada will be the next country to experience the 12-year-old Girl Wonder.

After gracing Billboard Magazine's cover in January, Alyssa Rubino remains one of the youngest Canadian singers to warrant the publication's most prestigious page. That exposure awarded Alyssa major Top 40 airplay, including #1 on SiriusXM's BPM channel. The music video for "Keep On Dancing" is scheduled to shoot next month, shortly before her anticipated sophomore single drops this Spring to a younger pop demographic. A promotional tour for Alyssa is already underway that will feature her on national television talk shows, radio, major teen pop magazines and subsequently, a live overseas tour will commence this Summer.

"I'm confident how quickly things have changed for me. It all seems more real now," says Alyssa, humbly.

With the frenzy of award season behind us, Alyssa was complimented by walking the star-studded red carpet at her first Grammy appearance. Beyond the glamour of the crimson carpet, Alyssa's most memorable experience was Access Hollywood asking her if she had "Bieber Fever". Her answer, of course ... "Yeah!" Danny Rubino made his own memory that evening. "I've always wanted to go to the Grammys and it took my 12-year-old daughter to get me there. I cried tears of joy," he shared.

Perhaps Alyssa's greatest endeavor is her active role in a multi-national anti-bullying campaign starting within the year in the U.S. and Canada, relying on the support and participation from local schools and police departments. She wants to impose onto her peers to "always give a good first impression and don't judge others."
