Steinway Hall Announces the John Lennon Imagine Series Limited Edition Piano Tour

NEW YORK, July 28, 2011 -- Steinway Hall today announced a one month tour of four different Imagine Series Limited Edition pianos, highlighted by a Model D concert grand featuring the Self Portrait artwork by John Lennon. The tour, with stops in the factory-owned Steinway Piano Galleries in Paramus, NJ, Westport, CT, and Melville, NY, as well as Steinway Hall inNew York City, offers fans of John Lennon and The Beatles a chance to play these beautiful and unique instruments. Certificates will be presented to anyone participating in this event as a keepsake of the experience.

Steinway & Sons introduced the Imagine Series Limited Edition piano in the fall of 2010 to commemorate the 70th birthday of legendary musician and songwriter John Lennon. Modeled after the white Steinway grand piano that John Lennon presented toYoko Ono on her birthday in 1971, the piano was designed in conjunction with Ono and incorporates the artwork, music, lyrics and signature of John Lennon.

Steinway & Sons has seen an unprecedented level of excitement and demand for these Limited Edition instruments. With only 25 pianos to be handcrafted in each series design (four designs are currently available), these instruments are truly unique. The goal of the tour is to allow as many people as possible to see and play these pianos while they are still available. Following is the upcoming schedule for the Imagine Series Limited Edition Piano Tour:
