Patrick Wolf's emotional thank you to fans at Bestival

Patrick Wolf thanked fans last night for an "amazing year" during his last festival appearance of 2011 at Bestival.

'The Falcons' singer revealed:

"This has been an amazing year for me and my band... thanks so much for keeping us on stage."

He later added: "I'm gonna cry," before joking: "You horrible people, you're going to make me cry!"

Wolf played songs from his most recent album 'Lupercalia', as well as a few old favourites during his set, and entertained the audience by dancing on top of the DJ booth during 'Together' and greeting the front row during 'The City'.

He also dedicated 'The Falcons' to anyone who had been made redundant during the year, saying: "It's a song about looking up, about chinning up."

Patrick Wolf's Bestival setlist was as follows:

  • Come Closer
  • House
  • William
  • Time of My Life
  • The Libertine
  • Accident and Emergency
  • Bermondsey Street
  • The Falcons
  • Together
  • The Magic Position
  • The City
