First peek at Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton in 'Joyful Noise' trailer

Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton have formed an unlikely partnership for a winning Gospel Choir in the first trailer for the musical comedy, 'Joyful Noise'.

The soul diva and country singer play two head-strong characters, Vi Rose Hill and G.G. Sparrow, who argue with one another before being forced to reluctantly put their differences aside and team up for a music project.

'Joyful Noise' tells the story between the two feuding women as they are forced to work together to save a small town Gospel Choir in a national choir competition.

The movie is directed by Todd Graff and also stars Teairra Monroe, Dexter Darden, Kris Kristofferson, Jesse L. Martin and Judd Lormand.

'Joyful Noise' is set to open in American cinemas on January 13, 2012.
