Adam Lambert becomes Pressparty's 2012 King and Queen

For Immediate Release

Adam Lambert received the New Year Honour of being crowned King and Queen by Pressparty fans in the official music news website's first King and Queen annual poll.

The poll was devised to help identify which artist would dominate and rule the new year based on fan feedback only rather than music critics' analysis. Voting took place this week by music fans leaving comments on Pressparty's Facebook wall.

On hearing that he had been crowned, Lambert issued the following statement to Pressparty: "I'm thrilled to be counted as a king by my fans. The Glamberts and Pressparty are truly royalty!"

The 'Better Than I Know Myself' singer swept the boards in the awards, as his hotly anticipated upcoming album, 'Trespassing' is scheduled for release in March 2012 on RCA Records, instigating his faithful fans to vote Adam the King and the Queen of the Year of the Dragon!

His most recent appearance at the MTV EMA's grand finalé which featured the velvet-throated superstar stepping into the hallowed shoes of Freddie Mercury to perform alongside the remaining members of Queen, also helped him return to the public domain and win new fans.

Lambert's EMA appearance followed just days after Outside Edge announced that he had signed to them. Outside Edge was launched in early 2011 by Outside Organisation, the UK-based media company who handle the PR for such iconic artists as David Bowie and Prince amongst others.

'Better Than I Know Myself' was released as the lead single on December 15 2011 on RCA, and achieved a lot of media attention both in the US and the UK.

One Glambert, Hilde Marie Grensbraten, said on voting: "Adam Lambert for KING (or QUEEN...or both) - he's proved his musical ability with his new single and the coming album is going to be the highlight of 2012. Besides this, Adam has used his fame/name to assist several charities with huge success. He IS a KING :)"

Another, Sue Leonard McGee, commented: "Adam Lambert for sure. He is a king of the music world, but as he said after his performance with QUEEN, he will always be a queen!"
