Saint Etienne will play five UK dates ahead of the release of their eighth studio album, 'Words And Music By Saint Etienne'.

The tour will start in Sheffield on May 22 and end at London's legendary Pallladium theatre on May 28.  Saint Etienne will also play Liverpool, Leamington Spa and Cardiff.

The band's last album, 'Tales From Turnpike House', was released seven years ago in 2005.

The first single from the new album will be released this month, and is called 'I've Got Your Music'.

The new album, 'Words and Music by Saint Etienne' features collaborations from long-time Saint Etienne associate Ian Catt, as well as producer Richard X and Nick Coler.
