Johnny Marr: "Go see the Dalai Lama"

Johnny Marr, ex-guitarist of 80's band, The Smiths, has told fans that the need to stop believing that “their life will be complete" if a Smiths reunion happened.

Marr told NPR.org: "Life doesn’t need that [a Smiths reunion] to happen to be okay.

Go see the Dalai Lama or something that’ll make you feel better".

NME's Godlike Genius was asked about being bombarded by questions from fans and interviewers about whether he and Morrissey will ever bring The Smiths back together again.

“{Fans} hope there will be some big happy ending. The fact it, there is a happy ending – I’m happy. It’s all cool. It’s slightly difficult when people assume that your life will be complete, or everybody’s life will be complete, if this band from 25 years ago reforms.”

Marr will be presented with NME's Godlike Genius Award next week (February 27).
