Boy George says jail's not like GaGa's video

Boy George has joked that his time in jail was nothing like Lady GaGa's women-in-prison promo video for "Telephone".

Last year, George served four months of a 15-month sentence at HMP Edmunds Hill in Newmarket for assault and false imprisonment of a male escort at his London flat.

Talking to Matt Edmonson for Sony Ericsson Pocket TV, George said, "It wasn't anything like the new Lady GaGa video. It was not like that at all. Less fashion. You wear your own clothes in the daytime - nothing too fancy - you're not allowed hoods. Hoodies are banned. On the visits you have to wear these really horrible denim trousers and a stripy shirt tucked in. I looked like a lesbian."

Of Lady GaGa, he added, "Yeah, we've met. I like her, she's really nice. I met her at the Brits. She asked me to sign her vagina. "She said, 'Can you sign my vagina?' - those were her exact words. I was like, 'Okay! What kind of pen would you like to use?'."
