Amy Winehouse's family reveal verdict of her toxicology report

Family of the late Amy Winehouse have revealed to the world's media that no drugs were present in their daughter's body at her time of death.

Reports have proven that although traces of alcohol were present, there were no signs of drugs in the 'Back To Black' singer's body and her family released a statement this afternoon (August 23) that read:

"Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy's system at the time of her death. Results indicate that alcohol was present, but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death."

"The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest in October."

Winehouse was found dead in her Camden flat on July 23 and her father, Mitch, has since been trying to set up a charitable organisation in her name
