Crooner Tony Bennett will honour the late Amy Winehouse with a special live tribute at the 2011 MTV VMA awards ceremony. 

The singer collaborated with Winehouse earlier this year on a track called 'Body and Soul', which is set to feature on his forthcoming album 'Duets II', and he has now confirmed that he will perform live at the event this coming weekend to honour her. 

Of the exciting news, Mitch Winehouse said "the family is honoured that the VMAs are giving Amy this wonderful tribute."

The VMAs will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, August 28 and yesterday (August 23) toxicology reports confirmed that Winehouse had no trace of drugs in her system when she died.
