Amy Winehouse's parents collect GRAMMY on her behalf

Last night's GRAMMY Awards show was affected by tragedy and one of the most touching moments came after the announcement that the late Amy Winehouse had won a prize for her duet with Tony Bennett on 'Body and Soul'

Although the presentation happened at the pre-telecast ceremony (February 12), the organisation's official Twitter account posted a message to followers that explained how Winehouse's parents collected the award on her behalf.

Winehouse and Bennett were named as the winners of the Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group category and the 'Back To Black' singer's mother and father took the stage to pick up the prize and talked briefly about her success: "we shouldn't be here. Our darling daughter should be here."

Referring to the recent passing of both Whitney Houston and Etta James, Mitch Winehouse added: "What can I say? There's a beautiful girl band up in heaven."
