Arcade Fire land midweek No.1 album with 'Reflektor'

Canadian indie rockers Arcade Fire have debuted at No.1 on today's (October 30) midweek albums chart update with their new offering, 'Reflektor'.

If the band manages to hold onto the top spot, it will give them their second UK No.1. The Official Charts Company reports that the record is currently outselling its nearest competitor, which is Katy Perry's 'Prism' at No.2, by nearly three copies to one.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Union J's 'Beautiful Life' has made an impressive appearance at No.3 (just 600 copies behind Perry), Lorde's debut album 'Pure Heroine' is at No.4, and James Blunt's 'Moon Landing' has dropped 3 positions to No.5.

Former 'X Factor' winner Matt Cardle has charted at No.7 with his new album, 'Porcelain', Paul Potts' new 'Greatest Hits' collection has shot in at No.29 following the recent release of his biopic 'One Chance', and Miley Cyrus is at No.16 with 'Bangerz'.
