Arctic Monkeys and Rita Ora win at O2 Silver Clef Awards

Arctic Monkeys were one of the big winners at this year's O2 Silver Clef Awards.

The event is currently taking place in London today (July 3) as the cream of British music is honoured.

Indie group Arctic Monkeys bagged the Best Live Act prize, which was decided by the public.

They said: "Thanks to everyone who voted for us and helped us win this year's Nordoff Robbins Best Live Act Award at the O2 Silver Clefs.

"It's a real honour to be chosen. Congratulations to Nordoff Robbins on their 40th birthday and for all the incredible work they do using music therapy to help people."

Rita Ora meanwhile won the Best Female Artist honour, with Kasabian bagging the Best Group award.

Gladys Knight went home with the International Award, while 'Uptown Funk' hitmaker Mark Ronson won the Innovation gong.

James Bay was crowned Best Newcomer and Duran Duran got the Lifetime Achievement Award.
