Arctic Monkeys brand their new album 'our most original yet'

Arctic Monkeys front man Alex Turner has been discussing his band’s forthcoming new album.

‘AM’ will be the Sheffield band’s fourth studio LP and will be released on September 9.

Fans of the ‘R U Mine?’ quartet can expect a different sound from the upcoming record, according to Alex Turner.

After revealing he thinks ‘AM’ is Arctic Monkeys' ‘most original’ album yet, Turner went on to tell Q magazine:

“After our first LP [2006’s ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not’] I don't think we knew where we were going to go. We were never going to be a boring indie band. We were always going to explore.”

The 27 year old rock star also confirmed the title of a new song called ‘Arabella’ after a woman he once dated.

However, he refused to go into detail as he stated: “Yeah, she's real, but I'm not going to give you her address.”

The album’s producer James Ford has also been talking about Arctic Monkeys' new approach to music for their latest release.

Ford told NME: “The band wanted to push things on and do something different… There was no brief other than to make an interesting album.”
