Phoenix's Unveil Breakbot Remix of New Single 'Trying To Be Cool'

Today sees the premiere of a genius remix of Phoenix’s song “Trying To Be Cool” by Ed Banger recording artist Breakbot. Mixing Phoenix singer Thomas Mars’ vocal line with old school, Paris Is Sleeping/Respect is Burning French house flourishes, Breakbot’s version of “Trying To Be Cool” is destined to be the laid back anthem of the summer.

Fresh off the release of their fifth album ‘Bankrupt!’, Phoenix bring forth new single ‘Trying To Be Cool’, to be released July 8 through Atlantic Records. ‘Trying To Be Cool’ is the second single taken from the new album, which has been warmly received by fans and critics alike.

The last few months have served to prove that Phoenix are as vital as ever, with a headline slot at Coachella, a sold out show at Shepherds Bush Empire and a recent performance on ‘Later with Jools Holland’. This summer they are playing a busy festival line up all over Europe including headlining the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury on the Sunday night and finishing up at Reading & Leeds at the end of August.
