Avril Lavigne sues concert streaming company

Avril Lavigne has launched legal action against a concert streaming company over unpaid fees.

The ‘Hello Kitty’ singer has filed a lawsuit against 2VLive due to their failure to pay her in full for a concert she performed back in September 2013.

Avril Lavigne signed a contract with 2VLive last year and as well as making promotional appearances she performed a show for the agreed fee of $500,000 in New York on September 25, 2013.

The Canadian singer agreed to receive the money in three instalments – $125,000, $300,000 and $75,000 – but Avril says she has only received the first payment.

Lavigne says she is also owed money from an agreement with an affiliate company of 2VLive that produces video greeting cards.
