Avril Lavigne: 'Be there for the people you care about because they're the ones you need the most'

Canadian rock songstress Avril Lavigne has revealed that she is incredibly grateful for her family in a new series of Twitter posts.

The beauty dropped the video for her song 'Give You What You Like' earlier this week, which has already passed the 2.5 million hits mark on YouTube, and she took to her official Twitter page last night to tell her fans how important her loved ones are to her:

"Today and everyday I'm grateful 4 my family and the unconditional love that comes from their hearts to mine. Thank you God. LOVE. FAMILY. Try to remember to be there for the people you care about today 'cause they will be the ones you need most one day 2. There is NO excuse."

Towards the end of 2014, the star confessed that she has been suffering with an undisclosed health issue, which explained her absence from the spotlight: "I feel bad because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them no why I've been absent. I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers."
