Songstress Avril Lavigne has hit out at Taylor Swift for appearing to like a page on Tumblr that compared how most music stars treat their fans to the way she poses with hers. 

A fan of Lavigne brought the post to her attention (pictured below) and tweeted: "Taylor Swift liked a post comparing her M&G with @AvrilLavigne's M&G."

The 'Sk8er Boi' star then retweeted the message and added the following statement: "Comparison is judging and judging a person does not define who they are it defines who you are. We all Love our fans. So let's keep it all about the love and stay positive."

Back in May 2014, Lavigne came under fire for her meet and greet events as pictures were shared online of her keeping quite a distance from fans (shown above left) who had paid for the privilege.
