A:  Do You Not Feel Loved? (Dominik Eulberg Remix)
B1: Do You Not Feel Loved? (Juju & Jordash Remix)
B2: Do You Not Feel Loved? (Original Album Version)

This 12" is the second on New Build's own imprint Lanark Recordings, and the first that is aimed resolutely and unapologetically at the dance floor. Part of a ongoing series of vinyl only releases on the label, this 12" includes two stunning remixes, one from German producer Dominik Eulberg and the other from Israeli born duo Juju & Jordash.

The original version of the song, intended as a kind of anthem for the small hours, opens with a dream-like set of a cappella chords, and develops around a single repeating motif of four notes before reaching an unrestrained and ecstatic breakdown. All of the members of the band are more or less DJs, and have been very gradually deafening themselves with various strains of house and techno music for many years; this track is a homage to the spirit and energy of some of these tracks, somewhat distorted through the melancholy nature of Al's lyrics and the deadpan nature of his delivery.

Dominik Eulberg is an extremely well regarded DJ and producer and his unique take on modern techno music has been a great inspiration for New Build. He is known for sprawling, psychedelic productions with propulsive rhythms and an unusual focus on melody. His remix adds tempo and pace to the track, with layers of evolving synthetic textures rising and falling against a heavy kick drum. As one might expect, the dynamics are judged "just so" and the track promises to be an amazing tool for DJs.

Juju & Jordash are Jordan Czamanski and Gal Aner, and they have produced an amazing remix of 'Do You Not Feel Loved?',  looping up the shimmering strings of the original, layering the track with thundering primal percussion and spacey effects, and hacking the vocal into oddly catchy clusters. The duo have gradually emerged as one of the most exciting and interesting acts in "underground" dance music. Operating from a firmly analogue and early digital basis (that is, minimal use of computers, and lots of vintage drum machines and synths), their productions are raw, bass heavy and surprisingly powerful dance floor weapons. The 'Enter the Golem' EP on Golf Channel is already a modern classic and forthcoming releases on the Dekmantel imprint promise to be very exciting indeed.

As with the first release on the label, this 12" is strictly limited to 500 copies worldwide. Once again, the sleeve features original artwork by Andy Martin, father of band member Felix Martin.

New Build will play Corsica Studios in London on Friday, 9th March  and the Mercury Lounge in New York on 13th &14th March. Please get in touch for any guest list enquiries
