Beyoncé upset Egyptian men with raunchy performance

Singing superstar Beyoncé has revealed that she upset a group of men at a recent concert in Egypt.

The 'Best Thing I Never Had' icon performed to a huge audience in the country, but her empowering-to-women lyrics and dazzling outfits and attitude "upset" some of the men in the crowd. She opened up about her experience of playing a gig in Egypt in the forthcoming September issue of Harper's Bazaar and said:

"There were a lot of women in the audience in burkas. They were singing along to 'Irreplaceable' - it was amazing!"

"Some of the men got really upset! They were like to their women, 'We have to get you out of here!'... I guess some of them (men) do get annoyed. But I never want to do 'the banner thing.''

Beyoncé is known for perpetuating a sense of 'girl power' through her music and she added that feminism just feels "kind of natural" for her:

"I don't really feel that it's necessary to define it. It's just something that's kind of natural for me. I feel like... you know... it's, like, what I live for. I need to find a catchy new word for feminism, right? Like Bootylicious."
