Beyoncé is the latest big name music star post their thoughts on this week's Charleston church shooting.

Nine people died after being shot during a prayer meeting in the South Carolina city.

Singer Beyoncé paid tribute to the victims of the incident on Instagram with a touching video of their names.

She added: "My heart is with the families, loved ones, and all of those affected by the senseless tragedy in Charleston. May they rest in peace."

Nicki Minaj meanwhile said: "Innocent people gathering to worship God are brutally murdered.

"Smh. Cherish life you guys...and cherish the people u love."

Taylor Swift added: "Plane landed, turned on my phone, and my heart dropped to the floor. Charleston... This is an unbearable loss of lives and innocence."

21-year-old Dylann Roof has been arrested on the charge of nine counts of murder and one weapons possession charge.
