Beyoncé achieves two exciting certification levels in the UK today

Superstar Beyoncé is today celebrating two milestones in the UK with her singles 'Drunk In Love' and 'Run The World (Girls)'.

'Drunk In Love' has been certified Platinum by the BPI, which means it has sold more than 600,000 copies, and 'Run The World (Girls)' is Gold, selling over 400,000 units. The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) tweeted the exciting news this afternoon (January 22):

"Good news #Beyhive! @Beyonce’s ‘Drunk In Love’ ft @S_C_ is now Platinum in the UK! #bpiAwards. Who run the world?’ @Beyonce! The single ‘Run The World (Girls)’ has gone Gold in the UK. #bpiAwards."

It was recently confirmed that Beyoncé will perform with Coldplay at this year's Super Bowl extravaganza. Event sponsor Pepsi told Entertainment Tonight that the superstar will line-up alongside the Brits at the half-time show on February 7. The two acts are expected to run through their new collaboration 'Hymn for the Weekend'.
