'Halo' hitmaker Beyoncé has been named one of the world's most powerful mothers in a new poll.

The list, which was compiled by Working Mother magazine, details the hardest-working famous mothers and features stars from the fields of music, film, television and literature.

Beyoncé, who gave birth to her daughter Blue Ivy earlier this year, features strongly as she juggled her pregnancy with the release of her latest album '4' and managed to maintain an influential presence in the music industry.

Jennifer Owens, Working Mother Media's Editorial Director, told USMagazine.com:

"(They) are just a few of the mums making a major impact right now. All of the power women on our list have at least one child 18 or younger, and all are based in the US."

Other celebrity mothers who made the cut include Hollywood sensation Angelina Jolie, 'Bridesmaids' star Melissa McCarthy and 'The Hunger Games' author Suzanne Collins.
