Superstar Beyoncé has set her fans' tongues wagging after uploading a rather cryptic message to her official website.

It was posted on Beyoncé.com yesterday (July 25) and simply reads, "Leave your footprint on 19th August 2012". 

No explanation accompanied the sentence (pictured below), but followers of the 'Halo' hitmaker have been speculating that perhaps it alludes to the release of brand new material although nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

Earlier this month, she shared a fan-made version of her music video for 'Countdown' and praised the impressive efforts of the young boy who had parodied it, writing:

"I think he did this video better than I did :) Love, B."
