Beyoncé on family life: 'Both Jay-Z and I love changing diapers'

Vocal sensation Beyoncé has opened up about her role as a mother in a brand new interview with Anderson Cooper.

Speaking to the chat show host today (September 10), the 'Halo' superstar explained that she shares parental duties such as feeding and changing diapers with her husband, Jay-Z, because they both love the responsibility:

"Actually, he's very good. We both do [it]. I love changing diapers, I love it. I love every moment of it. It's so beautiful. I really do. I love changing diapers - I love it all."

She also joked about how she sings nursery rhymes to her daughter, Blue Ivy, and added that sometimes she performs her own songs and confuses the baby: "Today was the first time [Blue Ivy] saw me performing in rehearsal - she was very confused."

"I make up actually a lot of crazy, corny songs. [But] I'm not singing it. Unless you do 'Single Ladies'!"

The songstress even admitted that having a baby gave her a distinct sense of purpose, adding: "It just gives you purpose and all of the things that my self-esteem was associated with — it’s all completely different."

"I realized why I was born and more than anything all of the things I want to pass onto my child and the best way of doing that is not by preaching or telling her but showing her by example which is one of the reasons I’m here.”
