Beyoncé has announced details of a forthcoming world tour.

The singer confirmed the live dates after rocking the NFL Super Bowl last night (January 2), where she also performed with Destiny's Child.

The dates take place from April to August under the name of The Mrs. Carter Show and will see Beyoncé play six UK dates.

Her British jaunt will kick off in Birmingham on April 26 before hitting London's O2 Arena for four consecutive shows.

She will then wrap up her UK tour with a date at the Manchester Arena on May 7 before heading to Ireland, Europe and North America.

Tickets for the UK dates are due to go on sale at 9am on February 23.
