V Festival could sell out in "20 minutes" because of Beyoncé

This year's V Festival looks set to sell out in record time due to Beyoncé's headline slot.

As previously reported, superstar singer was recently announced as one of the main acts at the festival, which is taking place in Essex and Staffordshire on August 17 and 18.

She is joined by the likes of Kings of Leon, The Script, Emeli Sandé and Jessie J on the bill.

Ticket website Viagogo believe the festival could sell out in a staggering 20 minutes due to Beyoncé's popularity.

The '4' star recently sold out her forthcoming UK tour in a reported three minutes - and the same levels of interest could hit V. Spokesperson Ed Parkinson said:

"V Festival could sell out in as little as 20 minutes, breaking all previous records thanks to Beyoncé's headline slot."

He added: "With many fans left empty-handed following the sale of her world tour, V Festival gives them another chance to see Mrs Carter live on stage."
