Beyoncé to headline outdoor London charity concert

Beyoncé has been confirmed to perform at a charity concert later this year.

The superstar singer will top the bill at Chime for Change's 'The Sound of Change' event at Twickenham Stadium on June 1.

Other acts due to perform include Ellie Goulding, Florence + The Machine, Rita Ora and John Legend.

They will also be joined by Haim, Iggy Azalea, Timbaland and Laura Pausini.

The event aims to raise awareness of women's rights and issues, with Gucci underwriting the event to make sure money raised by the gig goes to charitable projects.

Speaking about the concert, Beyoncé said: "I am excited for us to come together on June 1st to bring the issues of Education, Health and Justice for girls and women to the world stage."

Tickets for the event will go on sale at 9am UK time on Wednesday (March 27).
