Beyoncé has slammed "low life" gossipmongers, as rumours of her pregnancy continue to spread.

Speculation has been rife for a number of days that the international superstar is pregnant with her second child with rapper Jay-Z.

After cancelling her Mrs. Carter show in Belgium on May 14 due to “dehydration and exhaustion", the rumour mill was churning, and last night multiple sources confirmed to E! News that the star is expecting.

At the MET Gala in New York earlier this month, she raised eyebrows after walking the red carpet in a custom-made Givenchy gown with a belt that covered her stomach, also prompting people to believe the design camouflaged her growing bump.

However, Beyoncé posted a note to dispel the rumours on her Instagram page, which she has now deleted.

It read: "I can't stop the rumors from starting, and I can't really change peoples minds who believe them, all I can do is sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about me."

The sharp-worded message has now been removed.

Beyoncé  recently revealed she "would like more children" and that she feels 16-month-old daughter Blue Ivy could do with some company.
