Beyoncé plays headline set at V Festival

Beyoncé topped the bill on the first day of Virgin Media V Festival 2013.

Playing at Essex's Hylands Park – one of the festival’s two locations – Beyoncé brought her Mrs Carter World Tour show back to the UK.

Following her dramatic pixie hair cut earlier this month, Beyoncé sported shoulder-length hair extensions.

Her headline set was packed with some of her biggest hits including ‘Crazy In Love’, ‘Irreplaceable’ and ‘Naughty Girl’.

She brought the night to a close with her ballad ‘Halo’.

In contrast to her 2011 Glastonbury headline slot, this time around Beyoncé made several costume changes and debuted a new monochrome outfit made up of white trousers, a patterned, low cut top and red pointed heels.

Beyoncé is set to play the Weston Park festival site in Staffordshire tonight whilst Kings of Leon will be topping the bill at Hylands Park.
