Beyoncé breaks Australia and New Zealand tour records

Global sensation Beyoncé previously visited New Zealand and Australia as part of her Mrs. Carter world tour and broke records in both countries with her string of shows.

She was there recently and grossed more than $37 million (£24.6 million) with a total of 18 concerts. This incredible figure also saw her break attendance records at the Vector Arena in Auckland, NZ, and at the Perth Arena in Australia after shifting a phenomenal total of 220,000 tickets for all of the gigs.

The president of Live Nation Australasia, Michael Coppel, issued a statement on the exciting and impressive achivement and explained that Beyoncé is always a successful artist to book for both areas:

"I've been fortunate enough to have worked with Beyonce since the first Destiny's Child tour in 2000, but this tour has been an absolute standout in terms of the showcasing her unparalleled talent, energy and joy for performing in one of the most spectacular productions ever to visit this country."

The 'Halo' beauty also made headlines after inviting a 13-year-old blind fan to duet with her at November 8's concert at the Perth Arena. The video of Beyoncé singing with Sophie Kotkis (pictured below) went viral and made it onto several news channels.
