Beyoncé hosts private album launch party at Manhattan arcade

'Halo' beauty Beyoncé dropped a brand new visual concept album last week and celebrated its launch last night by throwing a party at a video game arcade in New York City.

She took over Times Square's branch of Dave & Buster's and made sure the night was adequately themed with 'Beyoncé' emblazoned cakes and glasses.

Canadian rapper Drake was in attendance and, at one point, he grabbed the microphone to tell the crowd how excited he was at the album's unveiling:

"I just came out tonight to let you know congratulations to each and every one of you that worked on this s--t, for real. And of course to the queen, the utmost congratulations."

Despite only being released last week, 'Beyoncé' has now gone on to sell over 1 million copies on iTunes and she recently set a new U.S. chart record after she became the first woman to see her first five albums debut at No.1 in America.
